California Dreaming in Hawaii
A vacation home in Hawaii does not have to be filled with dancing hula dolls and heavy dark koa wood. This family wanted a comfortable California lifestyle but on the Big Island, so instead we opted for light teak, plaster walls, sumptuous fabrics, soft carpets and vintage pieces mixed in with mid-century modern furniture — perfect against the backdrop of a lush golf course and Hawaiian sunset.
Furnished outdoor lanais are extensions of the indoors, making it possible to live in nature from dawn till dusk.
